Of all the senses, Eyes are the most beautiful” goes the saying. There are many people out there in the world suffer from blindness. Blindness may due to genetic reasons or accidents or disorders that may occur during their lifetime. Some cases can be cured if given proper attention at the right time. According to rules, donationto NGO has tax exemption. Mostly these donations are used in performing cataract surgeries, children eye care programs, buying eye glasses or some equipment for undertaking treatments, food or medical expenses of the patients. Approximately 50% Tax exemption under section 80G (Income Tax Act) and 100% Tax exemption under sections 80GGA or 35A are implemented. PAN Number is mandatory for donations above Rs. 20000 and 100% exempt. Donations are also given for conducting awareness / screening / detection camps in rural areas. Many of the money donators donate during their birthdays or wedding days. A small help of one’s can lit the future of others strongly.
